The Senior Electronic Lab Technician will play a key role in supporting the design, development, and testing of advanced electronic systems and embedded hardware. This position involves hands‑on work with circuit boards, instrumentation, and prototyping tools to ensure system functionality and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong board‑level soldering skills, experience with electronic diagnostics, and the ability to collaborate with engineers to innovate and improve electronic products and processes.

Responsibilities

Perform board‑level testing, troubleshooting, and repair of embedded electronic systems, including both analog and digital circuits.

Automate voltage‑level pass/fail testing and verification procedures for supplier‑delivered boards and prototype assemblies.

Interpret and work from 12V DC schematics to support wiring, harnessing, and system‑level integration.

Utilize multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other diagnostic tools to analyze, validate, and document electrical signals and system performance.

Design and build custom instrumentation setups and project enclosures, supporting R&D and validation efforts.

Apply board‑level soldering expertise, particularly with surface‑mount (SMT) components, to assemble and modify circuit boards as required.

Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to implement design improvements and optimize test processes.

Develop or assist in developing software automation scripts or custom tools to streamline testing and data collection.

Maintain lab organization, ensure calibration of test equipment, and promote safety and quality standards.

Continuously learn and adopt new Windows‑based tools and software applications used in testing and documentation.

Requirements

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent hands‑on experience.

Strong soldering proficiency, including surface‑mount technology (SMT) and rework on fine‑pitch components.

Hands‑on experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, etc.).

Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.

Software coding experience (Python, C/C++, or similar); advanced experience is highly desirable.

Familiarity with embedded system design and development is a significant plus.

Experience using or maintaining 3D printers for prototyping or enclosure fabrication is advantageous.

Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills, with the ability to work independently and in cross‑functional teams.
