The Department of Urology at Stanford University seeks a fellowship-trained endourologist to join the department as Assistant Professor in the University Medical Line. The ideal candidate will be experienced in both surgical and non-surgical management of kidney stone disease, along with an exemplary track record in patient care and teaching. A background in translational and/or clinical research, with the potential to develop an independent research program and secure extramural funding, is also required.

Responsibilities

Provide high quality clinical care for patients with kidney stone disease, including surgical and non-surgical management.

Develop and maintain a robust research program, aiming to attain national recognition and independent extramural funding.

Engage in teaching, including undergraduate, graduate, and residency education, and serve as an integral member of the department’s training programs.

Contribute to scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, including peer‑reviewed publications and extramural career development awards.

Participate in departmental and institutional service appropriate to the programmatic need.

Qualifications

Board-certified or board‑eligible in Urology or Endourology.

An MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree with fellowship training in endourology.

Demonstrated excellence or promise of excellence in clinical care, teaching, and scholarly activity.

Commitment to teaching and potential to meet or exceed acceptable standards in teaching.

Evidence of a track record of innovative peer‑reviewed publications and extramural career development awards.

Compensation The expected base pay range for this position is $372,000 - $399,000. This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank, and does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
