Responsibilities
Conduct and manage Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA)
Conduct and manage Phase II ESAs and related soil, vapor, and groundwater contaminant investigations
Coordinate and manage active remediation sites and related services
Perform detailed cost estimates for environmental investigation and remediation projects
Prepare response action plans to facilitate remediation and redevelopment
Coordinate and direct field personnel and contractor personnel
Assist in training new staff in field procedures
Prepare scopes of work, work‑breakdown structures, and cost proposals
Manage projects, including direct client communications
Data evaluation and report preparation
Required Skills
Ability to read and independently analyze and interpret technical reports, guidance documents, and governmental regulations pertaining to environmental contamination
Strong technical writing skills, including written reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
Ability to effectively present information verbally and respond to questions from managers, clients, and the general public
Ability to independently solve practical problems and manage daily project variables
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage and procure client relationships
Required Experience
B.S. degree or higher in Geology, Earth or Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, or an applicable science‑related field
6+ years related experience in environmental assessment, investigations, and remediation
OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER certification
Experience with due diligence in accordance with All Appropriate Inquiry and ASTM Standard Phase I and II ESAs
Experience with regulatory programs and regulations
Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) Regulations
Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP)
Voluntary Cleanup Program (VCP)
Industrial and Hazardous Waste (IHW) Corrective Action Program
Additional Preferred Experience
Texas Professional Geoscientist, Professional Engineer, Geologist‑in‑Training (GIT), or Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT)
Spill response, remediation oversight, and associated reporting
Industrial compliance
Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) Environmental Regulations
Resource Conservation & Recovery Act (RCRA)

Compensation Range: $63,900.00 – $95,900.00
