Construction Estimator
Understand how to read plans, to build scope sheets and bid packages to be issued to trades including architectural, MEP, structural, civil, & site plans.
Review and be responsible for the accuracy of take-offs
Coordinate sub/vendor solicitations with the Purchasing department
Assist in setting up projects, document uploads, and maintain data in Plan hub and Blue book
Assist in establishing and publishing bid lists (List of subcontractors for each project)
Assist team in procuring bids and qualified subcontractors
Perform high volume of calls to subcontractors tracking bid responses.
Manage and organize bid documents, including Proposals, Plans, Specs, Bid Forms, Addendums, RFIs, Bid Date Changes.

Manage Subcontractor Log
Track trade questions on bids, assist with getting answers or issuing pre-bid RFI’s for clarifications during the bid process
Assist with bid proposal and pre-construction proposals
Familiarity with commercial construction procedures and trades
Prequalify trades we have not worked with before (EMR rating, Insurance, Bond capacity, Previous Work Record, Financial capability, Liens, Lawsuits).
Building/Maintaining positive relationships with subcontractors/clients
Perform estimating and take-off functions
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years experience in Construction Estimating
Must have deep knowledge of commercial construction and estimating
Ability to read and understand drawings
Demonstrate aptitude to understand engineering principles
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Experience with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel)
Experience with Bluebeam
Experience with estimating software
Experience in Procore
Pay
$65,000 - $85,000 per year (Salary TBD based on Experience)
