We are seeking a strategic and results-drivenRegional Purchasing Managerto oversee procurement operations across multiple locations within the food industry. This role is responsible for sourcing high-quality food products, negotiating supplier contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing practices that align with company standards and regional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
Develop and implement regional purchasing strategies aligned with corporate goals. Source and evaluate suppliers for food products, packaging, and related materials. Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure optimal value and quality.
Vendor Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and distributors. Monitor supplier performance and compliance with food safety and quality standards. Conduct regular supplier audits and evaluations.
Inventory & Cost Control
Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels. Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and reduce waste. Ensure timely delivery of goods to meet production and distribution schedules.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all purchases comply with food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP). Work closely with QA teams to maintain product quality and traceability.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Lead and mentor regional purchasing staff. Coordinate with cross-functional teams including R&D, operations, and finance.
