Responsibilities
Design and configure automation and communication systems for power networks.
Develop engineering documentation and technical specifications for projects.
Collaborate with project managers and cross‑functional teams to meet deadlines.
Provide technical leadership and resolve design challenges during execution.
Engage with customers to optimize system performance and ensure satisfaction.
Support proposal development with technical input and cost recommendations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for engineering processes and standards.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
12–16 years of experience in automation and communication engineering.
Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, SCADA systems, and substation automation.
Proficiency with industry standards and vendor technologies.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
