The Electrical Engineering Lead will be part of the Generator and Electrical Systems with the responsibility of providing technical lead on contract execution of electrical systems equipment (i.e. Electrical Compartments, Motor Control Center, Medium Voltage Excitation and Static Start Isolation Transformers, 52G Generator Breaker, Neutral Grounding equipment, LV and MV Cables, Generator Protection, Electrical Load List) in projects. Job Responsibilities

Provide technical support during design/execution phases of project. Coordinating engineering support with interfacing organizations such as sourcing, services, gas / steam / gen requisition engineering, global engineering, and equipment suppliers. Lead and carry out the design and engineering and of Shipped Direct (MSD) equipment (i.e. Electrical Compartments, Motor Control Center, Medium Voltage Excitation and Static Start Isolation Transformers, 52G Generator Breaker, Neutral Grounding equipment, Generator Protection) on new unit Gas or Steam turbine generators. Partner with requisition management to reduce requisition cycle and improve requisition process from order definition through commercial operation. Commit to and meet on-time performance targets of internal engineering and customer deliverables. Lead Generator and Electrical equipment discussions at customer meetings, both domestic and globally. Drive requisition goals and objectives. Responsible for strategy of how to handle risk and drive mitigation for the same for Electrical scope in the projects. Interpret and implement contract requirements and design practices. Partner with compliance team to ensure design in accordance with codes / standards. Review customer contracts and complete equipment design reviews. Prepare Gas/Steam turbine's one-line diagrams. Develop individual equipment ordering specifications depending on the scope. Review Electrical Wiring Diagrams for interconnects. Issue As-shipped/As-issued drawings to the customer based on changes. Write ordering specs, review bid proposals and outline and electrical drawings for,

Iso and EX transformers, GCB or MV SWGR, Neutral Terminal Enclosure, and Generator Line Enclosure (GLAC)

Prepare, develop, and review electrical cabling and interconnection deliverables for Gas and Steam turbine units. Develop Cable Drawing, Interconnection Drawing, and Compartment Interconnections. What You Will Bring

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university or college. 5 to 15 years of experience in Generator electrical components and/or Power generation. Knowledge of Industry Codes and Standards such as NFPA/ANSI/UL/CE is essential. Pay Range: $70K to $100K Compensation decisions are made based on factors including experience, skills, education, and other job-related factors, in accordance with our internal pay structure. You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours. Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
