Metallurgical Engineer Manufacturer specializing in metal production seeks a seasoned Metallurgical Engineer to join a 30+ year old dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead metallurgical operations, employing expertise in metallurgy, failure analysis, and ISO standards.

Salary $100,000 – $120,000 per year

Responsibilities

Conduct detailed metallurgical investigations and tests, including metallography, failure analysis, and heat treatment studies.

Implement and maintain ISO standards in all metallurgical operations.

Develop and optimize metallurgical processes and procedures to improve efficiency and product quality.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.

Provide technical support to production, quality, and sales teams.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives in metallurgical processes.

Analyze failure investigations to determine root causes of product failures and develop preventive solutions.

Evaluate and select raw materials to ensure they meet product specifications and quality standards.

Maintain comprehensive documentation of all metallurgical activities and findings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in metallurgical engineering within the manufacturing industry.

Proficiency in metallography and failure analysis.

Thorough knowledge of ISO standards related to metallurgical operations.

Proven track record of improving metallurgical processes and product quality.

Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot production issues.

Excellent communication skills for conveying complex technical information to non‑technical audiences.

Proficiency in using metallurgical laboratory equipment and tools.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control procedures.

Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
