Schedule: PRN, as needed

As a Pharmacist joining our team, you’ll embrace the mission of making communities healthier.

Responsibilities

Fill orders with correct medication and check support staff accuracy prior to medication release.

Prioritize work to prepare STAT, NOW, and waiting orders in order of importance.

Review patient profile to ensure appropriate and safe drug therapy; prevent therapeutic duplication.

Prevent significant drug interaction and avoidable adverse drug reactions secondary to allergies.

Participate in drug information dissemination through in‑service education, consultation with patients, and collaboration with medical staff.

Assist other Pharmacists and Technicians in the discharge of routine duties as necessary; direct activities and provide professional guidance to Pharmacy.

Prepare unit of use dosage when possible.

Keep Director informed of workload status and potential problems.

Be competent in the range of treatment for Pediatric, Adult and Geriatric patients.

Enter a minimum of 40 orders per four‑hour shift.

Generate required reports and perform backup procedures correctly.

Assist technicians in performing technical tasks.

Ensure temperature and environmental monitoring logs are maintained.

Keep current on new drugs.

Serve as on‑call pharmacist as scheduled and be able to return to the hospital for urgent situations.

Maintain security of Pharmacy and controlled substances.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a PharmD degree.

Current state license in good standing.

Excellent written and verbal communication with medical and administrative staff and patients.

Basic understanding of computer use for processing prescription orders; minimum word processing skills.

Self‑motivated, self‑directed with excellent organizational skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Ability to organize meetings and inspections.

Location: Tampa, FL | Salary: $102,221.94 – $170,369.91
