Our first Research and Development facility in the US is located in Coral Springs, Florida which focuses on generic and branded orally inhaled and nasal drug products. Somerset, New Jersey is home to one of fifteen commercial manufacturing sites globally and the only commercial manufacturing facility in the United States for Lupin, as well as additional Research and Development teams. Responsibilities Under the supervision of the Director, Operations & RD Finance, the Finance Analyst is responsible for business analytics & financial cost control for the Somerset Manufacturing site. The individual in this role will have the responsibility of standard/budget cost setting, monthly actual costing, variance monitoring, monthly spend analysis manufacturing accruals and providing support to the business through the preparation and effective communication of high quality, insightful and timely business and financial analytics. The person will act as the key liaison on all financial matters between the production team, supply chain team, quality and other departments.

Essential Responsibilities And Duties

Responsible for internal management reporting, cost management, and supporting analysis, including product processing yield analysis, direct labor analysis, raw material yield (inventory adjustments) analysis, root cause failure analysis and automating reporting and analysis using advanced Excel and access tools

Work the annual budget process for the site spend and CAPEX planning; generates all required reports, schedules and presentations

Monthly spend analysis for the Site and variance analysis vs budget

Works with procurement on the annual budget for the direct materials and preparation & analysis of monthly variances

Prepares the monthly business management reporting package including, but not limited to, operating results, variances from budget, forecast and prior year, price volume and gross profit analyses, discussions of key metrics and business drivers, risk and opportunities

Reviews monthly CAPEX management reporting package including spending forecast, variance and cash flow monitoring.

Accountable for internal controls, financial control documentation and testing.

Data management: supports SAP processes and system development.

Generate ad hoc reports and analytics as needed

Other duties and tasks as it applies to effectively handle above listed responsibilities.

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required

Technical Skills

Top-notch Excel skills; SAP knowledge a strong plus

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position in New Jersey is $70,000 to $90,000, plus a discretionary performance bonus (based upon eligibility). The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Lupin is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.

Physical Requirements The physical requirements of the position generally include: standing, walking, sitting, using hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking and hearing. In some circumstances, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and crawling may apply. This position may require lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally. Generally work is performed in an office environment.
