Staff Accountant , you’ll help keep Maverik’s financial engine running smoothly. You’ll manage general ledger reconciliations, analyze financial data, and support monthly and quarterly closes to ensure accuracy and compliance. with a
4‑day hybrid in‑office schedule.
Position Summary and Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Conduct cash management reconciliations, transfers, and reporting.
Prepare and post journal entries for month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close.
Perform account trend analysis and store‑level report reviews to identify discrepancies.
Process, update, and maintain accrual reporting.
Analyze and interpret financial data to support accurate reporting and insights.
Maintain strong relationships with bank representatives and internal finance partners.
You’ll Be a Great Fit For This Adventure If You Have:
2+ years of accounting experience, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required or strongly preferred).
Proficiency in general ledger systems and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends or anomalies.
Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

CPA certification or progress toward certification.
Experience in retail or multi‑location business environments.

Compensation & Benefits Pay Range:
$58,900 – $72,700 per year + DOE and bonus opportunities
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Maverik considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers, such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
