Senior Manager, M&A Accounting & Reporting | Chicago, IL
Our client, a globally recognized and rapidly growing hospitality company, is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join their Corporate Finance organization. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in technical accounting for complex transactions, collaborate with senior leadership, and support a business known for creating exceptional experiences across the world.
In this role, you'll work cross-functionally with finance, development, structured transactions, reporting, and asset management teams, providing guidance on acquisitions, joint ventures, capital investments, dispositions, and other strategic initiatives. This is a high-visibility role with meaningful contribution to the company’s continued expansion and success.
Base pay range $160,000.00 / yr - $165,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
Support and evaluate strategic transactions including acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, and other investments
Perform technical research and prepare accounting memos for complex accounting issues (U.S. GAAP & SEC)
Lead purchase price allocations & fair value analyses with external valuation partners
Review contracts and advise on accounting implications
Partner with internal finance leadership and external auditors
Oversee components of SEC filings related to transaction activity
Coach and mentor senior-level accounting talent
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA required)
8+ years of experience in public accounting and/or corporate technical accounting
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP & SEC reporting
Experience with M&A, complex transactions, or advisory preferred
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills
Previous hospitality industry exposure a plus but not required
