Senior Corporate Counsel, IP & Technology
Remote – Global Role based in the United States . Join Iron Mountain as a Senior Corporate Counsel focusing on intellectual property (IP), technology, and commercial matters. You will work across product, engineering, sales, and strategic growth teams to balance risk, optimize business growth, and negotiate technology‑related agreements.
Base Pay Range $159,400–$212,500 per year.

Responsibilities
Effectively draft, negotiate, and advise on IP and technology legal issues, including technology‑related agreements, customer, vendor, and strategic partner arrangements, based on business objectives.
Draft, negotiate, and advise on technology‑specific contract templates (data use, licensing, AI/ML, enterprise platforms, IP ownership, EULAs, OSS, SaaS, cloud architecture).
Assist in drafting, maintaining, and training others on technology contract templates and related legal strategic materials (playbooks, alternative language guides, go‑to‑market documentation) for new and updated product and service offerings.
Assist in various IP matters (trademarks, patents, trade secrets, copyright) including prosecution work with external counsel, IP claims, licensing, and portfolio management.
Collaborate with diverse internal stakeholders—digital business, digital solutions incubator, engineering, sales, procurement, information security, risk, privacy & compliance—to support fast‑paced business initiatives.
Manage multiple deadlines effectively.
Skills
Experience drafting and negotiating software and related technology agreements, including complex client and vendor deals, with strong knowledge of contract law and IP law.
Experience drafting and negotiating partnership agreements (reseller, referral, co‑marketing, co‑sell, collaboration, API, OEMs, ISVs, joint development, channel partnerships, GTM, VARs, SIs/GSIs, MSPs).
Experience counseling on IP issues in software, cloud, AI/ML, and digital technology; familiarity with SaaS, data processing, privacy, trademarks, patents, trade secrets, and copyrights.
Strong knowledge of US IP law and globally recognized IP concepts.
Analytical skills to identify issues from both legal and business perspectives and articulate solutions pragmatically.
Problem‑solving capability and ability to handle ambiguity, especially in evolving regulatory contexts.
Ability to manage multiple matters on tight timelines with flexibility and adaptability.
Collaboration skills for remote work across global teams, with confidence and autonomy.
Experience managing external counsel.
Self‑motivated, intellectually curious, and willing to embrace new challenges and projects.
Willingness to work across regions and time zones as needed.
Requirements
A Juris Doctor degree (or international equivalent) from an accredited law school.
Qualified and admitted to practice law in the local jurisdiction.
7–10 years of related law firm or corporate in‑house experience.
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in IP, commercial, partner and technology transactions; IP prosecution, maintenance, and licensing; commercialization of SaaS and other software solutions; negotiation and drafting of technology transactions; and AI, privacy, data use, and data security issues.
Salary Range Reasonably expected salary range: $159,400–$212,500.
