Piping Engineering & Analysis Synopsis Piping Engineering & Analysis

discipline performs evaluations for piping systems in accordance with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31.1, ASME B31.7, and other applicable codes. The discipline also conducts specialty topics such as vibration monitoring and analysis, hydraulic transients evaluation, pipe rupture evaluations, and corrosion assessment.

Vibration monitoring and analysis to evaluate system operational vibrations and provide prevention solutions.

Evaluation of hydraulic transients, thermal stratification effects, operability, and hydrodynamic loads.

Pipe rupture evaluations and pipe wall thinning due to FAC or MIC.

Position Specific Details Provides technical support on projects by performing engineering tasks such as calculations, specifications, and component designs. Tasks are performed under minimal supervision.

Independently prepares simple calculations.

Independently prepares simple system/structural designs.

Gathers data and prepares simple specifications under supervision.

Gathers data and prepares simple bid tabulations.

Gathers data for reports and studies.

Communicates technical information clearly and concisely.

Uses accepted standards and processes.

Completes assignments within allocated time frames.

Develops personal capabilities for professional growth.

Hybrid work schedule requires in‑office work 3 days per week.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Aerospace, or Structural/Civil Engineering from an ABET‑approved program, with emphasis in solid mechanics, structural analysis, theory of elasticity, metallurgy, and finite element analysis.

1 or more years of engineering experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Valued but Not Required Skills and Experience

Passed F.E. exam.

Familiarity with AutoPIPE or PIPESTRESS software.

Compensation Range $66,000.00 – $94,810.00.

The total compensation package for eligible positions will include a base salary or an hourly rate and a comprehensive benefits package, reflecting our commitment to rewarding performance and supporting the overall well‑being of our employees.
