Location: San Francisco, CA. Salary range: $132,900 - $177,200.
Responsibilities and Duties
Act as the internal expert for new, innovative target market segments, conducting rigorous market analysis (TAM/SAM/SOM), competitive intelligence, and customer research.
Convert core product performance metrics into clear, segment‑specific customer value and ROI, creating robust, multi‑year business cases for new products and beachhead markets to secure executive alignment and justify development resources.
Lead the implementation of company‑wide pricing frameworks across all offerings.
Proactively educate and shape industry requirements through high‑impact initiatives, technical briefings, and strategic events.
Build actionable sales playbooks, segment‑specific training, and commercial materials; oversee early‑stage GTM plans and transition qualified opportunities to the sales team.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; MBA is a plus.
8+ years of industry experience (less with advanced degree) in Segment Marketing, Product Marketing, or Strategy within a B2B environment—preferably manufacturing‑heavy, technical products.
Proven ability to use data and market research to build and champion major business cases for new products or market entry.
Exceptional ability to manage multiple, disparate segments simultaneously and connect technical capability to commercial opportunity.
Strong bias for action, speed to impact, and the ability to influence cross‑functional teams (Sales, Product, Executive) without direct authority.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for trade shows, conferences, and customer sites.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Operate a computer and other office equipment in a fixed location.
Domestic and international travel for approximately 20% of the time.
Payscale Disclosure The starting base pay for this role is between $136,000 and $172,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila’s competitive Total Rewards package, which may include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
