Service Manager Job Description/Qualifications: Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation of heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems including but not limited to ice machines, walk-in/reach-in coolers/freezers, RTUs, split systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, make-up air fans, and controls. Must have electrical knowledge as it relates to HVAC/R equipment and controls, as well as the ability to read electrical schematics and interpret blueprints. Participation in an on-call rotation for emergency service is required. Being well-versed with smart devices (e.g., Android phone and tablet) is a plus. This position requires a minimum of 3-10 years of on-the-job experience. The role relies on direction from management and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions, as well as experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while effectively communicating with peers and customers. Requirements License Required: MA Refrigeration License preferred Valid Driver’s License EPA Universal Certification OSHA 10 Other: An individual must show a willingness to continue developing skills in the trade as part of the ongoing learning process. The individual in this position may be required to take part in continued related coursework. Must maintain a safe and acceptable driving record at all times. Able to assist with office-related duties such as collection calls, shipping and receiving, shop maintenance, and other operational duties when necessary. Physical Requirements: Lifting (approx. 50 lbs.), climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operating motor vehicles; and the ability to operate power and/or hand tools.
