About the Role:
We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep experience in Kubernetes-based microservices, Spring Boot development, and Azure cloud solutions to join a global banking innovation team in New York City. This role focuses on designing, building, and deploying cloud-native financial systems that support enterprise-scale performance, resiliency, and security. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on expertise in distributed systems, API-driven development, and DevOps automation, and be comfortable working in a hybrid cloud and containerized ecosystem. Exposure to blockchain technologies (Solidity, Web3, Ether) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and deploy scalable microservices using Spring Boot and Kubernetes in Azure environments.
Implement and optimize smart contracts, ensuring security, scalability, and performance for enterprise-grade use cases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Security, Product) to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Lead code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to continuous improvement and best practices in CI/CD pipelines.
Integrate APIs and data services securely across hybrid cloud and on‑chain/off‑chain systems.
Must Have Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
15+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.
Hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, and Azure Cloud Services.
Solid understanding of distributed ledger technology (DLT) concepts and integration patterns.
Strong background in API development, RESTful services, and secure system design.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in agile, cross‑functional teams.
Experience with financial, fintech, or wealth management platforms.
Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Good To Have (Preferred)
Exposure to Solidity, Web3.js, or Ethereum-based smart contracts.
Understanding of blockchain fundamentals and decentralized system design.
