Job Summary This position is responsible for driving financial objectives, ensuring the integrity of accounting information and maintaining compliant business processes. It supports the Regional VP of Finance as part of the senior leadership team, provides financial insight, and works with business leaders in preparing and managing the annual budget. The role also supports and oversees audits, and through reporting and analysis, identifies trends and collaborates with stakeholders toward process improvements and margin efficiencies.
Job Location Onsite position based at our Tampa, FL office.
Job Responsibilities
Performs the monthly close and financial statement preparation.
Partners with Corporate Shared Services to oversee the region’s accounts payable, accounts receivable and management reporting.
Works closely with Regional Inventory Control Manager on cost accounting and physical inventory process handling.
Supervises monthly balancing of books and monthly account reviews; prepares and presents monthly management reporting.
Analyzes operating results and business processes.
Creates and supports an internal control environment that safeguards company assets.
Supervises employees performing financial reporting, accounting, billing, collections, payroll, and budgeting duties.
Provides training and development for staff in finance management, budgeting, SOX compliance and any other needs identified in the department.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
5+ years’ experience leading accounting teams.
Manufacturing / Plant Controller background preferred.
Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.
Strong ERP experience; Lawson preferred.
Strong analytical and management skills.
Ability to travel up to 25%.
