About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Virtualization Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft Hyper‑V and Azure virtualization technologies. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure virtual infrastructure environments, supporting mission‑critical applications and enterprise systems.
Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage enterprise‑level virtualization environments using Hyper‑V and Azure.
Oversee VM provisioning, storage configuration, and network integration across on-premise and cloud‑based systems.
Optimize performance, scalability, and availability of virtual environments using advanced monitoring and tuning tools.
Lead infrastructure modernization and migration projects, including hybrid cloud and Azure resource transitions.
Collaborate with security, networking, and DevOps teams to ensure system integrity and compliance.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for virtual machine management using PowerShell or Azure CLI.
Provide tier‑3 support for virtualization‑related incidents and root cause analysis.
Document configurations, maintenance plans, and operational standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
7+ years of experience in virtualization engineering or infrastructure architecture.
Proven expertise with Microsoft Hyper‑V, Failover Clustering, and System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM).
Hands‑on experience with Azure IaaS, Azure Virtual Desktop, and hybrid infrastructure integration.
Strong understanding of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and network fundamentals.
Scripting proficiency in PowerShell (required); experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform) a plus.
Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or VMware VCP (advantageous).
