Position Overview:
In the role of Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, you will leverage your expertise in building data engineering and analytical solutions to drive effective business intelligence strategies for this organization. Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, you will play a crucial role in refining and optimizing data acquisition efforts.
Your daily responsibilities will involve tackling challenges, employing creative problem‑solving, and collaborating with others to extract actionable insights from data. You will also work closely with stakeholders to translate high‑level business inquiries into precise reporting, advocating for a self‑service analytics environment within the company while supporting the Analytics and Data Science teams on their digital transformation journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Advance and enhance the Business Intelligence practice.
Provide expert guidance on data engineering methodologies and visualization best practices.
Collaborate with Analytics, Data Science, and Technology teams to develop and implement data governance policies.
Oversee the comprehensive management of data engineering projects from initiation to implementation.
Design and refine data pipelines, dashboards, and insightful reports for key organizational stakeholders and external customers.
Partner with Information Technology and team members to facilitate the adoption of self‑service analytics capabilities.
Actively participate in gathering requirements and developing dashboards.
Qualifications Needed:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Required: At least 3 years of intermediate experience in SQL.
Required: A minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience building data pipelines using tools like Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and SQL Stored Procedures.
Required: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with relational and cloud database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle ADW, Snowflake, or Redshift.
Required: Familiarity with Data Lake and Data Warehousing principles.
Preferred: Intermediate experience (3+ years) with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or Sigma.
Preferred: Experience supporting a self‑service dashboarding environment.
Ability to adapt quickly to modern analytics tools and technologies.
A keen interest in exploring and implementing innovative data utilization strategies.
