Senior Director, Senior Portfolio Manager - Private Equity
ProShares, a pioneer in the ETF industry, invites an experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our private equity investment team focusing on 1940 Act private equity funds.
Position Summary Drive investment strategy, portfolio construction, and execution across manager selection, secondaries, and co-investments for registered fund vehicles.
Essential Job Functions
Portfolio Management – Oversee construction and ongoing management of 1940 Act private equity funds, ensuring alignment with mandates, risk, and liquidity.
Investment Underwriting & Execution – Lead due diligence and underwriting across secondaries, manager selection, and co-investments, build financial models, negotiate terms.
Cash Flow & Liquidity Management – Design and maintain fund-level cash flow models, forecast capital calls, distributions, and redemptions.
Structuring & Operations – Collaborate with legal, compliance, and tax teams on fund structuring, investment terms, and regulatory considerations.
Stakeholder Engagement – Present opportunities and updates to investment committees, partner with investor relations teams to articulate strategy.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, JD, CFA, CPA) preferred.
10+ years private equity, secondaries, co-investments, or portfolio management with exposure to 1940 Act structures.
Demonstrated underwriting across secondaries, manager selection, and co-investments.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, and cash flow forecasting skills.
Knowledge of fund structuring, legal, and tax considerations in private markets.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
Strategic thinker capable of managing complexity and multi‑faceted portfolios.
Team‑oriented, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast‑paced environment.
Compensation Annual base salary range $220,000–$240,000 (USD). Total compensation may vary based on experience, location, department, and individual performance.
