About Reserv Reserv is an insurtech creating and incubating cutting‑edge AI and automation technology to bring efficiency and simplicity to claims. We are focused on automating highly manual tasks to tackle long‑standing problems in claims and set a new standard for TPAs, insurance technology providers, and adjusters alike.
About the role As a Team Lead at Reserv, you will provide leadership and claim‑technical responsibilities to support a Claims manager. Leadership responsibilities will include overseeing work done within the Commercial Transportation Claims (trucking) adjusting staff. Your background should deliver operational effectiveness, leveraging technology and analytics to drive efficiencies and performance. Claims professional with a track record in commercial transportation claims adjudication
Strong leader with formal management experience or proven peer/project leadership
Tech‑oriented: excited by building a tech‑driven claims organization and leveraging technology and analytics
Passionate and empathetic, caring for team, customer, and experience
Sense of urgency (without excessive hours)
Creative: challenges existing assumptions and finds ways to use technology to solve problems
Curious: wants to know the whole story to make right decisions early and be decisive
Problem solver: deep dive into details while focusing on big picture
Anti‑status‑quo: not just wish things done differently, act on it
Communicative: comfortable with phone communications throughout the claims process
Humor: claims are hard enough as it is!
What we need
Flexibility to switch from claims handling to coaching and feedback
Agility: pivot focus at a moment’s notice
Dependable in achieving or exceeding goals and overcoming obstacles
Implement and maintain best practices for claims handling (intake, investigation, evaluation, settlement, recovery)
Align team with client and customer expectations of the claims process
Serve as a resource for escalated claims
Foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and encourage professional growth and development
Attract, hire, retain, and provide high‑level training with support of leadership team
Prepare and present comprehensive claims reports, metrics, and analyses to clients and customers; advise on claim trends and loss mitigation
Requirements
5+ years of insurance claims experience across multiple lines; preference for transportation (trucking) with some bodily injury experience
Active adjuster license required: resident state license if available, otherwise a Designated Home State license
3+ years of leadership experience, preferably managing in a remote environment
Comfortable with technology and the ability to evolve claims systems and processes for better efficiencies
Demonstrated commitment to quality, accuracy, and attention to detail
Integrity, ethics, and a strong sense of accountability for confidential and sensitive information
Benefits
Generous health‑insurance package with nationwide coverage, vision, and dental
401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
Competitive PTO policy – we want employees fresh, healthy, happy, and energized
Generous family leave policy
Work from anywhere to facilitate work‑life balance, paired with frequent, regular corporate retreats to build team cohesion, reinforce culture, and have fun
Apple laptop, large second monitor, and other quality‑of‑life equipment you may want – technology is meant to make your life easier, not harder
Additionally, we will
Listen to your feedback to enhance and improve upon the long‑standing challenges of an adjuster role
Work toward reducing and eliminating all administrative work from an adjuster role
Foster a culture of empathy, transparency, and empowerment in a remote‑first environment
At Reserv, value diversity and believe that a variety of perspectives leads to innovation and success. We actively seek candidates with unique perspectives and experiences. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage those from underrepresented groups to apply.
