Financial Controller
to join our team.
The Controller, reporting to the VP of Finance, will oversee the daily accounting functions for the company. This role will focus primarily on manufacturing accounting, labor analysis, inventory control, fixed asset accounting, cost controls, internal controls, managerial reporting, variance analysis, GAAP‑compliant accounting and reporting standards while driving continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities
Management of accounting operations including AP, AR and GL
Responsible for internal and external financial audits
Manage month‑end closing and prepare monthly financial statements and other operational reports
Quickly analyze data, identifying variances and communicating explanations to management
Lead cost accounting functions with emphasis on month‑end close, material loss and labor variance analysis, fixed assets, and report preparation for use by senior leadership
Ability to find gaps in financial controls & analysis and develop effective processes, which close the respective shortfalls
Review and approve monthly reconciliations for submission to Corporate HQ
Create SOPs and conduct reviews & request changes as necessary
Assist operations leadership to identify, document, and implement solutions for issues within the production process
Manage and assist with special projects as requested
Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high‑performance work environment.
Desired Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA or CMA certification highly preferred
Thorough understanding of GAAP
3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
ERP Systems experience and proficiency. Experience with Deacom and/or Netsuite a plus
Ability to multi‑task and effectively prioritize in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving capabilities.
Collaborative personality with high EQ a must
Compensation and Benefits Compensation range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 and includes a bonus plan based on individual performance as well as company performance. We offer a full benefit package and options for a hybrid work schedule.
