Position Overview Our client is seeking a highly motivated Tax Senior to join their growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base—including individuals, families, and business owners—while leveraging your expertise in tax compliance, planning, and advisory services. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client‑focused, and ready to take ownership of complex tax engagements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and other entities.
Research complex tax issues and provide clear recommendations to clients and management.
Review work of staff accountants and provide mentorship and guidance.
Identify tax planning opportunities and strategies to minimize client liabilities.
Assist in managing client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor on tax matters.
Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Collaborate with wealth management and accounting teams to provide integrated financial solutions.
Support business development initiatives by contributing to proposals, client presentations, and engagement planning.
Qualifications
CPA license required.
Minimum of 3–5 years of public accounting experience in tax compliance and planning.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Experience with individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
Strong client service orientation with professional communication skills.
Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software is a plus.
