Summary Of Position The Associate of Asset Management is a critical member of 29SC’s asset management team across the U.S. The role involves providing financial reporting, deal underwriting verification, transaction due diligence, and investor reporting. It requires technical proficiency with the firm’s technology stack and a self‑motivated, entrepreneurial mindset to cover multiple responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions
Understand capital and investment structure and the relationship between property operations and investment performance.
Share accountability for budgeted results and support budget vs actual analysis.
Analyze leases and rental rates and assist in leasing decisions; monitor overall leasing status and strategies for assigned assets.
Provide general market understanding for assigned assets – collects market information especially competitive data.
Support restructurings, sales and asset financings as required.
Support industry related projects including annual updates on sector and information gathering.
Verify accuracy of property operating statements and monthly/quarterly variance analysis.
Prepare quarterly reports, valuation analysis and other financial reports as required.
Prepare and update quarterly cash flow projections.
Maintain and contribute to retail information databases and libraries.
Required Skills / Abilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong proficiency in Excel required.
Strong analytical skills.
Education And Experience
BS/BA with strong academic record in real estate, finance, accounting and/or economics required.
Knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
3‑4 years of direct real estate and analytical experience required.
