About the Company
We provide tools for individuals and organizations to succeed and grow through career development, recruitment, and learning solutions. Our AI-powered talent sourcing and analytics platform connects people to local and global job opportunities, helping employers and job seekers thrive in an increasingly competitive market. Recognized by leading industry observers as a top growth company, we’re driving the future of work. Role Overview
We are searching for a Senior DevOps/Cloud Security Engineer who has architected or managed enterprise‑level AWS infrastructure with multi‑account strategies, comprehensive audit trails, and GDPR‑compliant data handling. You will own our cloud security posture while maintaining operational excellence. This role requires someone who embraces modern agentic development workflows alongside traditional engineering skills. Core Responsibilities
Enterprise Cloud Architecture
Manage and evolve our multi‑account AWS infrastructure with segregated production, staging, and backup environments. Implement cross‑account security policies, backup strategies, and disaster recovery procedures. Design redundant systems with automatic failover and zero‑downtime deployment capabilities.
Security & Compliance Operations
Maintain GDPR‑compliant infrastructure with full audit trails and PII data lifecycle management. Implement "right to be forgotten" workflows with automated data purging across all systems. Configure AWS security services (GuardDuty, Security Hub, CloudTrail) for threat detection and incident response. Manage encryption keys, secrets rotation, and access controls across multiple AWS accounts.
Infrastructure as Code & Automation
Maintain and extend our Python‑based Pulumi infrastructure codebase. Build automation tools and self‑service platforms for development teams. Implement infrastructure testing, policy‑as‑code, and compliance automation.
Modern Development Practices
Leverage agentic development tools (Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) for infrastructure automation. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security scanning. Balance hand‑coding expertise with AI‑assisted development workflows.
Operational Excellence
Design comprehensive monitoring and alerting using CloudWatch, AWS X‑Ray, and related tools. Establish SRE practices including SLOs, error budgets, and incident response procedures. Manage complex data infrastructure including PostgreSQL clusters, caching layers, and search systems.
Must Have
Required Experience & Skills 5+ years managing enterprise AWS infrastructure. Multi‑account architectures with AWS Organizations. Cross‑account backup and disaster recovery strategies. Production incidents and security event response. GDPR/PII data handling and compliance implementation. Strong Python proficiency for infrastructure automation and tooling. Experience with Python‑based infrastructure tools (Pulumi knowledge is a plus but not required). Security‑First Mindset
AWS IAM, KMS, and secrets management. Audit logging and compliance reporting. Data classification and retention policies. Security incident detection and response. Modern Development Approach
Proven experience with agentic development tools or demonstrated eagerness to adopt AI‑assisted workflows. Strong traditional coding skills as foundation. Comfort with pair programming with AI assistants. Technical Environment
Multi‑account AWS infrastructure managed through Pulumi (Python). Kubernetes clusters via Porter.run platform. Aurora PostgreSQL with specialized ML extensions. Comprehensive monitoring with CloudWatch and custom alerting. GitHub Actions for CI/CD with security integration. Nice to Have
Experience with Ruby on Rails deployment and optimization. Knowledge of ML infrastructure and vector databases. Background in fintech or platforms with strict data residency requirements. Experience with zero‑trust networking (Tailscale, Boundary). Contributions to infrastructure‑as‑code projects or security tools. What We’re Looking For
We need someone who has actually built or managed enterprise cloud infrastructure, not just worked adjacent to it. You should be comfortable making architectural decisions that balance security, cost, and developer experience. We value pragmatic problem‑solving and the ability to evolve our infrastructure while maintaining strict security standards. Why Join Us?
