The Sr. Project Engineer will focus on the design and development of molded components, sheet metal parts, extruded parts, machined parts, assemblies, and the creation of detailed 3D models. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, materials, and manufacturing processes related to sheet metal, extrusion, machined parts, injection molding, and electromechanical assemblies.

Key Responsibilities

Work with cross functional teams to deliver innovative solutions across various engineering disciplines including but not limited to injection molding plastics, metal and plastic extrusions, sheet metal and machined parts, cable and interconnects, and electromechanical integration.

Create and manage 3D CAD models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks or equivalent software.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and sales to ensure design intent and manufacturability.

Participate in the development and validation of new products, tooling, and processes.

Support existing products through engineering changes, documentation updates, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Interface with suppliers and customers on material selection, tooling design, and manufacturing capabilities.

Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for design and process-related issues.

Provide design for manufacturability (DFM) guidance to customers and production team.

Interface between the customer and production team to bring products from design to production.

Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.

Review new requests for quote (RFQs) documentation to confirm completeness and manufacturability.

Review DFM and first article inspection reports, and provide feedback as needed.

Other duties as assigned.
