Overview This role works as a Technical Specialist or Project Lead on high voltage substation projects up to 765 kV, providing engineering, procurement, and construction guidance and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Develop protection and control design deliverables (protective relays, panel arrangements, one‑line/single‑line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, etc.)

Develop physical design deliverables (yard layout plans, grounding, lightning protection, control building arrangements, auxiliary power systems).

Perform or oversee quality review of electrical substation design packages.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Prepare equipment specifications and Bills of Materials for procurement and construction.

Communicate and coordinate project activities with clients, vendors, subcontractors and stakeholders.

Present proposals, designs and project activities to clients and teams.

Assist with design budgets and schedules.

Provide support to business development or pursuit activities.

Travel to client and vendor offices and/or project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

High‑voltage substation design experience (physical and/or protection & controls).

Project lead / technical specialist experience on utility substation projects.

QA/QC review experience.

Experience coordinating with clients, multidisciplinary leads and project managers.

Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Proficient with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Office.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (accredited) or equivalent experience.

Minimum 5 years related work experience.

Active engineering registration or licensure supporting engineer‑of‑record (EOR) requirements.

Ability to complete pre‑employment onboarding requirements (background check, drug screen, etc.).

Certifications & Licensing Engineering registration or licensure to support engineer‑of‑record (EOR) requirements in applicable countries.

Work Environment & Physical Demands Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days; work assignments are based on manager discretion.
