Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon Faculty, Section of Congenital Heart Surgery, UVA Childrens Hospital
Overview:
The University of Virginia Childrens Hospital and the Division of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery are seeking a Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon to join the faculty in the Section of Congenital Heart Surgery. Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive clinical care for the congenital cardiac population, including complex neonatal heart surgery and pediatric heart transplantation. Lead and participate in the busy, comprehensive congenital heart program with a strong interest in research and education. Engage in basic science and translational research, supporting clinical research interests. Collaborate with regional partners in Norfolk, Richmond, and other childrens hospitals.
Qualifications: MD, board?certified in Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery (American Board of Thoracic Surgery). Additional ABTS certification in Congenital Cardiac Surgery is required. Strong clinical background in complex neonatal heart surgery, pediatric heart transplantation, and pediatric mechanical circulatory support. Demonstrated commitment to research, education, and leadership in pediatric cardiac surgery.
