Base pay range $250,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr
A leading global real estate investment manager is seeking a Vice President of Asset Management to oversee a portfolio of premier New York City office assets. The VP will be responsible for driving value creation, overseeing leasing and operations, and leading strategic initiatives across a portfolio that includes some of the most iconic and high-profile assets in the market.
This is a leadership opportunity for a highly analytical and strategic professional to take ownership of asset performance, collaborate with internal and external partners, and mentor junior team members while working in a dynamic, performance-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Business Planning
Develop and execute asset strategies that maximize value, including leasing initiatives, capital programs, and returns analysis.
Partner with portfolio management to evaluate hold/sell decisions and incremental investment opportunities.
Oversee annual business planning and ensure alignment with broader investment objectives.
Leasing & Operations
Collaborate with leasing teams to drive tenant retention and new leasing activity.
Provide strategic guidance on deal structures and term sheets.
Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants, brokers, and market stakeholders.
Oversee third‑party property management to ensure best‑in‑class operations.
Capital Projects
Lead feasibility and programming of discretionary capital projects.
Partner with design and construction teams to ensure timely and cost‑effective delivery.
Manage quarterly budgeting and reforecasting of capital projects.
Partnerships & Reporting
Deliver quarterly reports, leasing updates, and valuation reviews to partners and senior leadership.
Coordinate with finance and portfolio management teams on cash flow, contributions/distributions, and valuations.
Capital Markets & Transactions
Support analysis, diligence, and execution of financings, refinancings, and dispositions.
Oversee appraisal processes and provide valuation insight.
Leadership & Team Development
Manage and mentor junior team members, providing training, feedback, and guidance.
Drive collaboration across internal teams (investments, FP&A, design, construction, operations) to ensure seamless execution of strategic plans.
Qualifications
6–12 years of experience in commercial real estate, with a focus on asset management, investments, or related functions.
Advanced financial acumen with strong proficiency in Excel and Argus.
Proven track record of value creation and asset optimization in office or mixed‑use portfolios.
Strong organizational, presentation, and project management skills.
Excellent communication and relationship‑building capabilities across internal and external stakeholders.
Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage and mentor junior team members.
Compensation:
Base: $250k - $300k (All‑In: $350k - $200k)
