Structural Project Engineer – Richmond, Virginia Collins Engineers, Inc. (ENR Top 500 Design Firm) seeks a motivated Structural Project Engineer. The role involves structural design and inspection projects primarily on transportation structures (bridges, ancillary) and waterfront facilities (piers, wharves, bulkheads). Pay range:

$80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr . The actual pay will be based on skills and experience.

Typical Duties And Responsibilities

Provide technical engineering information to project manager to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions.

Review, analyze, and provide recommendations on field and/or design issues.

Independently perform moderately difficult engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.

Prepare complete engineering plans or reports.

Use computer‑assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.

Keep project manager informed of workload and any changes in project scope or additional services.

Be active in technical societies.

Take responsibility for small to moderate projects from inception to completion.

Communicate with clients when required.

Attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.

Direct and supervise the work of entry‑level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.

Observe and adhere to safety policies and practices.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Relocation is available.
