Assists surgeons with surgical procedures within the operating room under the direct supervision of a registered nurse, including conveying sterile instruments and supplies used in basic to complex surgical procedures. Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Responsibilities
Assists surgeons with surgical procedures within the operating room under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Conveys sterile instruments and supplies used in basic to complex surgical procedures and adheres to all policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or clinical‑based program. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology, sterile technique, medical terminology, instrumentation, and medical equipment. Clinical competencies including sterilization techniques, operating room instruments and supplies, and medical terminology. Six (6) months of experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery unit. BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care. Preferred Job Requirements
Certified OR Tech. 1 year OR experience. CORT or CST certification.
