Job Summary Provide ionizing radiation in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist.

Essential Responsibilities

Accurately deliver the prescribed, planned course of therapy with supervision from mentor.

Perform simulation/tumor localization procedures with supervision from mentor.

Schedule, carry out and document orders for care in the electronic chart.

Take weekly portal images for treatment verification and have the physician check.

Take patient photos and treatment field photos and transfer them to the patient chart.

Check patient & chart identification, prepare the treatment room, set up immobilization devices, blocks, and tattoo patients with supervision from mentor.

Ensure that the patient is seen by the Oncologist weekly and more often if signs of treatment complications are recognized.

Observe and practice Radiation Safety Standards.

Basic Qualifications

Experience:

Zero-one (0-1) years as Radiation Therapist.

Education:

Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program.

License, Certification, Registration:

Radiation Therapist License (temporary or full) in Oregon within 3 months of hire; Basic Life Support within 1 month of hire; American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate – Radiation Therapy Technologist within 3 months of hire.
