We’re looking for an experienced

Director of Finance

to join our

Leadership Team

and oversee the financial management of the company. This includes oversight of accounting, financial reporting, forecasting, treasury, risk management, investor relations, and strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will bring deep real estate industry experience, strong analytical and leadership skills, and

advanced knowledge of NetSuite accounting software

to optimize financial systems and performance.

What You’ll Do

Partner with the Founder and executive team to drive strategic growth initiatives and evaluate new real estate investments, developments, and capital structures.

Provide financial and operational insight to support short- and long-term business objectives.

Advise on capital markets strategies, including debt financing, equity raises, and investor partnerships.

Oversee all financial operations including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and real estate industry standards.

Lead month-end and year-end closing processes within NetSuite, optimizing workflows and reporting accuracy.

Manage cash flow forecasting, working capital, and liquidity planning to support ongoing operations and acquisitions.

Direct the implementation, customization, and optimization of NetSuite for real estate-specific accounting functions, such as property management, intercompany transactions, and project-level reporting.

Maintain robust internal controls, compliance with lender covenants, and audit readiness.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance and accounting team.

Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate cross-functionally with property management, construction, and development teams to ensure alignment of financial goals.

Manage risk assessment, insurance coverage, and compliance with financial regulations.

Support investor communications through financial reporting, performance summaries, and presentations.

Analyze real estate portfolio performance and provide strategic recommendations to maximize returns.

What It Takes to Win

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA required).

5+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 3 years in

real estate development or investment management .

Hands‑on experience managing accounting and reporting in

NetSuite

(or similar ERP systems).

Deep understanding of project‑based accounting, cash flow management, and capital structure in real estate environments.

Strong analytical, strategic, and communication skills — you can interpret complex financial data and communicate actionable insights to stakeholders.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.

High integrity and attention to detail, with a proactive mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.

Compensation Salary:

$120,000 - $130,000 (based on qualifications and experience), plus company performance bonus(es) up-to 20% of salary.
