Create and maintain cloud governance.
Enhance cloud infrastructure automation.
Design and execute cloud cost‑saving measures.
Security harden Azure IaaS and PaaS infrastructure.
Assist DevOps teams with pipeline deployments.
Collaborate with Architecture and Operations in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and anticipation of performance bottlenecks.
Initiate new cloud solutions by documenting the project and the cost impact.
Enable and facilitate Proof of Concepts.
Be an Azure evangelist, trainer & hands‑on lead for the cloud initiatives team.
Maintain deep technical knowledge of Microsoft data center technologies, including Active Directory, Azure AD, Office 365, Azure, SCCM, and Microsoft 365.
Give technical guidance to team members.
Migrate on‑premises workloads to the cloud.
Manage Azure environments to ensure optimal security, performance, scalability, availability, and operations.
Adopt and implement Site Reliability Engineering principles.
Develop and deploy real‑time production monitoring and telemetry.
Build tools and infrastructure to improve engineer productivity.
Background That Fits
Three or more years of experience architecting solutions involving one or more cloud service providers (Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.).
Five or more years of experience in an IT professional role.
Experience in architecting, designing, and deploying enterprise applications and systems.
Familiarity with cloud design patterns.
Experience implementing cloud governance.
Experience securing, managing, and deploying Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions.
Experience deploying ARM/Bicep templates.
Experience with Azure automation and creating runbooks.
Experience with CI/CD processes.
Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell and Azure CLI, and knowledge of version control integration.
Understanding of Microsoft server products and complementary solutions.
Sound understanding of standard networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, virtual networks, and load balancing.
Work experience with monitoring tools, network monitoring systems, and APMs such as Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, Nagios, LogicMonitor, New Relic, AppDynamics, DataDog, or similar.
Working knowledge of DNS, routing/switching, monitoring, SSL/TLS certificates, file servers, security, performance, high availability, redundancy, and disaster recovery.
Familiarity with SIEM and log analytical languages.
