Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to be embedded within the Finance organization, reporting directly to the VP and AVP of Finance. The analyst will serve as the primary data partner to Finance leadership, delivering actionable insights on insurance negotiations, reimbursement performance, denial trends, and revenue integrity. The position demands rapid-response ad hoc reporting, proactive identification of reporting gaps, and execution of targeted projects to enhance financial transparency and decision-making. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels under executive scrutiny, and possesses deep technical expertise in healthcare revenue cycle data, SQL, and Power BI. Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-priority ad hoc reports with minimal turnaround time to support insurance contract negotiations, including: Volume analysis by payer Reimbursement rate performance vs. contract terms Denial root cause analysis (clinical, technical, policy-based) Identification of improper denials and recovery opportunities Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to executive and operational finance stakeholders Lead longer-term reporting enhancement projects to close gaps in standard revenue cycle visibility Serve as the primary data liaison between Finance, Revenue Cycle, and IS teams Proactively investigate data anomalies, validate findings, and recommend process improvements Present insights and recommendations directly to VP/AVP-level stakeholders with clarity and confidence We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. 3+ years of experience supporting healthcare finance/revenue cycle organizations Strong experience with writing SQL scripts for querying and data extraction Strong experience developing Power BI reports and dashboards Hands‑on experience with Lawson S3 reporting tools (LBI, Crystal Reports, Spreadsheet Designer, Excel Add‑In) or comparable ERP/finance systems (e.g., Infor FSM, Oracle Financials, SAP) Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Finance, Accounting, or related field -Experience automating recurring reports via scheduled refreshes or scripts Knowledge of healthcare compliance (HIPAA, CMS regulations)
