Job Description

This position involves leading the assembly of components and sub-assemblies of metal parts according to blueprints and job packets. The role requires the ability to plan and perform large and complex assemblies, as well as direct others with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with assigned assembly jobs, performing inspections throughout the process to ensure quality, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role may involve operating a variety of hand and power tools, such as band saws, drill presses, grinders, and belt sanders.

Responsibilities

Lead the assembly of components and sub-assemblies of metal parts according to blueprints and job packets.

Plan and perform large and complex assemblies.

Direct others with minimal supervision.

Assist with assigned assembly jobs.

Perform inspections throughout the process to ensure quality.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Operate various hand and power tools, including band saws, drill presses, grinders, and belt sanders.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in blueprint reading.

Experience with hand tools and power tools.

Mechanical assembly skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or one year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment or manufacturing assembly.

The facility is well-lit and clean, with new hires starting with training boxes. The dress code is standard casual, including jeans and a t-shirt. Steel-toed shoes and ear/eye protection are required.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Fond du Lac, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.50 - $23.50/hr.
