Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Redwood City, California. This role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and supportive clinical team. Required Qualifications
Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in California Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology Experience in Speech‑Language Pathology (new graduates welcome) Other relevant certifications or licenses Essential Work Functions
Use standardized assessments and clinical observation to evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders Design individualized therapy programs based on evaluations, goals, and evidence‑based practices Continuously assess progress, adjust plans, and maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record Educate patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home exercises, and safe swallowing Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive patient care Maintain a safe treatment environment and adhere to infection control and safety protocols Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities Perform any other duties as assigned within scope of practice Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English Ability to read and comprehend written and verbal instructions; PC skills Physical stamina to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), and assist with procedures Professionalism and positive attitude when working with diverse personnel Fine‑motor skills for handling equipment and assisting procedures Ability to handle frequent public contact, meet deadlines, and work under pressure Visual acuity and effective communication skills Benefits
