Save Job

At Gusto, we are on a mission to grow the small business economy by handling the hard stuff—payroll, health insurance, 401(k)s, and HR—so owners can focus on their craft and customers. With teams in Denver, San Francisco, and New York, we support more than 400,000 small businesses across the country and build a workplace that represents and celebrates the customers we serve.

About The Role Gusto is looking for a hands‑on engineering leader to lead the Time Tracking team. Customers love Gusto Time because of its all‑in‑one system for recording, approving, and syncing hours to payroll. The Time org consists of Time Tracking, Time Off, and Scheduling and spans web and mobile platforms. As a key member of Time’s engineering leadership team, you will build a dynamic team, collaborate cross‑functionally with product, design, and other engineering leaders, and help build a product that scales with the company.

About The Team You’ll be part of Time, a core part of the Pay Group, and responsible for ensuring that employees track their hours accurately so they get paid correctly and compliantly. We believe that getting payroll right is more than a feature—it’s the foundation of trust with every business we serve. We don’t just build software; we take on the immense complexity of payroll so our customers can focus on their passions. Our vision is to make paying a team disappear, transforming it into a seamless, automated, and even magical experience.
