Join Aspen Technology as a Sr Principal Solution Consultant for the Global LNG team and play a pivotal role in developing, articulating, and propagating customer‑centric solutions that redefine industry standards.
The Role We are looking for an individual to drive our strategic direction in the LNG space, leveraging the complete AspenTech product portfolio. You will be responsible for how AspenTech approaches, messages, and wins software sales in LNG across all facets of the industry.
As a Sr Principal Solution Consultant, you will collaborate closely with the AspenTech sales teams to lead consultative discovery sessions, craft visionary solutions, and design strategies tailored to customer needs. Your deep understanding of the LNG industry, coupled with AspenTech’s broad product portfolio and value‑enablers, will drive opportunities that deliver significant business value to our customers and AspenTech.
Your role will be focused on acquiring and building a presence in new LNG customers with the full AspenTech portfolio. Additionally, you will lead the process of expanding the footprint in existing LNG customers, to further AspenTech’s reach in these markets.
In this customer‑facing role, you will leverage your exceptional business, industry, and technical expertise to position AspenTech solutions effectively.
Your Impact
Understanding the LNG markets globally, staying abreast of developments in the industry and customer base
Learning the complete AspenTech product portfolio to identify and apply products to solve real customer business challenges, including the value of solving those challenges
Developing the messaging and materials necessary to position AspenTech solutions in the LNG industry – making adaptations for regional or market differences
Accompanying the Sales Team to meet with customers to articulate the broader vision for AspenTech in LNG, as needed
Demonstrating how AspenTech delivers significant value to the LNG markets, through a program of solutions
Engaging the Senior Executive Level of customer organizations to paint the vision of how AspenTech can be a partner in their Digitalization journey
Supporting the Regional Solution Consultants with Domain Expertise and material to enable them to operate independently in LNG
Developing industry‑specific solutions, aligning technology with measurable business value
Providing market input to the Product Management Teams to improve solution adoption in the LNG market
Identifying gaps in AspenTech’s portfolio and candidate acquisition targets to fill those gaps to better serve the LNG markets
Identifying and leading sales campaigns to improve AspenTech reach in LNG to improve pipeline and awareness
Training & educating Sales Account Managers and Solution Consultants on how to best engage LNG customers, in their specific regions
Present AspenTech solutions at major trade shows and events, globally
What You’ll Need
10+ years of experience in LNG industry selling software solutions
Engineering degree preferred
Experience in all aspects of the LNG industry, best practices and processes
Proficiency in one or several AspenTech solution areas, particularly Asset Performance Management, Advanced Process Control, Digital Twins, Data Historization, Engineering
Knowledge of AI/ML solutions and their application in solutions and industry
Strong ability to bridge technology and business, articulating high‑level technical solutions and their differentiated value
Exceptional problem‑solving and analytical skills based on stakeholder interactions and data insights
Strong drive to convert opportunities into recognized value for customers
Global travel – 50%
