Senior Manager, Technical Accounting
Position: Senior Manager, Technical Accounting at a leading real estate/hospitality company.
Location: Chicago, IL | Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 | Work Arrangement: Corporate Office | Hybrid.
Are you a CPA with a strong background in public accounting and technical accounting? Join a leading real estate/hospitality company as a Senior Manager in Technical Accounting, where you’ll play a critical role in supporting acquisitions, investments, and complex accounting transactions while collaborating with cross‑functional finance teams.
What You’ll Do:
Support structured transactions, acquisitions, dispositions, capital commitments, joint ventures, and other investments.
Partner with Corporate Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Finance teams on complex accounting issues.
Perform technical accounting research under U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations; prepare or review accounting memos.
Lead purchase price allocations and review valuations with external advisors.
Oversee quarterly fair value updates and contingent consideration arrangements.
Review contracts and provide guidance on accounting implications.
Prepare or review certain SEC disclosures and support external auditors.
Coach, mentor, and develop senior accountants.

You Should Apply If:
CPA required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
6‑7+ years of experience in public accounting and/or industry accounting roles.
