The Tax Manager will take a lead role in delivering compliance and advisory services to a broad portfolio of privately held, mid-market businesses across industries like manufacturing, distribution, real estate, construction, and professional services.

Base pay range $135,000.00/yr - $155,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

Manage and review complex federal and state tax returns for Partnerships, S-Corps, and C-Corps

Serve as a key advisor to privately held clients on tax planning, compliance, and entity structuring

Lead and mentor a team of seniors and staff accountants, providing hands‑on coaching and technical guidance

Oversee client engagements from start to finish, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and service expectations are met

Prepare and review ASC 740 (income tax provision) calculations for applicable clients

Stay current on tax law changes and communicate their impact to clients and internal teams

Build strong relationships with clients through proactive communication and strategic insight

Contribute to firm initiatives and process improvements as the practice continues to scale

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required

6+ years of recent public accounting experience, with a focus on business tax preferred.

Experience working with mid‑market, privately held clients across multiple entity types

Industry knowledge in manufacturing, real estate, construction, distribution, or professional services preferred

Proficiency in ASC‑740 provisions highly preferred

Strong leadership and communication skills with a team‑first mindset

Ability to manage multiple engagements and deliver high‑quality work on time
