Project Engineer - Water/Wastewater Conveyance

As a Conveyance Design Engineer at Walker Partners, you will assist your team in designing water and wastewater conveyance systems, prepare planning studies for municipal water and wastewater systems, submit and secure environmental permits with State and Federal Agencies, and provide construction administration on large-scale public infrastructure projects.
This is a great opportunity for a licensed P.E. looking to deepen their impact in the water/wastewater field while gaining leadership experience in a supportive and growth‑oriented environment. From conceptual design and coordination, to assisting with the bidding process and supporting construction management—you'll be involved in delivering projects from cradle to grave!
Primary Responsibilities
Provide expertise in water and wastewater conveyance systems including system modeling, pipeline and interceptor route analyses, pipe material selection, preliminary and final design, bidding, and construction phase services
Design large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects
Assist in the development of project scopes, proposals, and schedules
Prepare technical specifications
Coach, mentor and develop junior‑level engineers and technical staff
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (from ABET Accredited Civil Engineering Program)
4‑8 years of experience in water/wastewater municipal infrastructure projects
Highly technical design skills
Knowledge of design criteria
Experience providing construction administration for municipal public works projects
A Texas PE license is required or ability to obtain in six months
