The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in public accounting and demonstrate expertise in various aspects of tax management, including mergers and acquisitions, financial planning, and analysis. The Senior Tax Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Job Details
Duties Lead the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable laws. Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the company's overall financial goals. Oversee mergers and acquisitions from a tax perspective, providing guidance on structuring transactions effectively. Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate risks. Manage account reconciliations, including balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting. Ensure adherence to SOX compliance requirements within the tax function. Collaborate with finance teams to provide insights on financial planning and budgeting processes. Mentor and train junior staff members in tax-related matters, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Extensive experience in public accounting or a corporate tax environment, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. Proficiency in accounting software and tools used for tax preparation and compliance. Strong financial acumen with the ability to conduct detailed financial analysis. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly. High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively. Ability to work collaboratively across departments while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
