We are seeking a Senior Consultant who is a Red Hat Certified Specialist in SELinux Policy Administration to support a specialized security-focused engagement in Ridgecrest, California. This is a hybrid role with an onsite component; the specific schedule will be determined in collaboration with the client.
The consultant will provide expert-level support in managing, customizing, and troubleshooting SELinux (Security-Enhanced Linux) policies within Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments. This role requires hands‑on experience with SELinux configurations and policy development in high-security or mission‑critical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze existing SELinux configurations and develop custom policies as needed.
Troubleshoot SELinux‑related issues across complex environments.
Develop, test, and deploy targeted and MLS/MCS SELinux policies.
Collaborate with security teams, system administrators, and application owners to ensure SELinux enforcement supports operational needs while maintaining security posture.
Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to client teams.
Participate in security audits or compliance initiatives as related to Linux systems.
Support integration of SELinux policies with other system hardening or compliance frameworks.
Required Qualifications:
Red Hat Certified Specialist in SELinux Policy Administration
Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and SELinux enforcement modes
Proven ability to create, troubleshoot, and optimize SELinux policies
Experience working in classified, high-security, or defense‑related environments is a plus
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) and familiarity with Linux system internals
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work onsite in Ridgecrest, CA on a hybrid schedule as defined with the client.
