Design Engineer, Battery Systems CelLink is seeking a Design Engineer to spearhead efforts that transform our high‑conductance, flexible harness technology into universal solutions across emerging industries. Building on our foundation in automotive and energy storage, this role is pivotal in expanding into new markets such as aerospace, robotics, and data centers—delivering tailored, high‑performance products that redefine how power and data move through complex systems.

This is a chance to shape the future of electrification and innovation. You’ll design products that define industries, influence global electrification, and accelerate the transition to smarter, lighter, and more efficient systems.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Leverage expertise in industries such as aerospace, robotics, data centers, or appliances to identify new applications where CelLink’s flexible circuits can deliver transformative value.

Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers to design and validate product architectures, ensuring optimal electrical and mechanical performance.

Conduct and support basic electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing—including setting up test infrastructure, specifying test elements, and coordinating measurements in low‑frequency environments.

Calculate and measure line inductance and capacitance of CelLink circuits to support performance characterization and validation efforts.

Participate in technical discussions with customers and suppliers, helping interpret and communicate EMC and electrical test results in collaboration with subject matter experts.

Work cross‑functionally with internal teams to define wiring responsibilities—mechanical engineers will typically own wiring layouts and physical integration, while this role focuses on circuit‑level performance and electrical optimization.

Engage directly with potential customers to understand design requirements, pain points, and performance targets, aligning CelLink’s technology to their product goals.

Partner with Sales, Marketing, and R&D to develop technical proposals, product roadmaps, and scalable design solutions that meet both customer and market needs.

Stay ahead of industry trends and standards to position CelLink’s products as cutting‑edge, reliable, and manufacturable at scale.

Build and maintain relationships with key technical stakeholders to establish CelLink’s technology as a preferred solution across industries.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)

3+ years of experience in electrical or electromechanical design, testing, or integration in industries such as aerospace, robotics, data centers, medical, or appliances.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Materials Science, Physics, Mechanical, or Electrical) or equivalent technical experience.

Familiarity with EMC concepts, inductance and capacitance measurement, and interpreting electrical test data.

Experience coordinating with external test labs or suppliers on electrical validation and EMC testing.

Proven ability to work cross‑functionally to balance electrical performance, mechanical packaging, and manufacturability.

Exposure to flexible circuits, lightweight wiring, or interconnect systems is highly preferred.

Strong communication skills for translating complex technical results to non‑electrical stakeholders and customers.

Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.

Base Salary $120K+ with final salary determined by experience and level. We’re hiring for multiple positions and will align compensation accordingly.

Working Conditions/Hours Salaried Exempt

100% onsite

Physical Demands and Work Environment Office and manufacturing environment requiring talking or hearing, using hands or fingers, standing, walking, sitting, reaching, pulling/pushing, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Includes a typical office environment with minimal exposure to excessive noise or adverse environmental issues, and a shop environment with exposure to high noise levels from operating machines, physical hazards from moving equipment and machine parts, nuisance dust, and skin exposure to chemicals used to run or maintain machines.

PPE may be required: safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, gloves, hair nets, masks, and clean‑room frocks while adhering to prescribed safety procedures.
