Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr

Our TOP 100 Accounting Consulting Firm based in Boston, MA is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their team in a permanent position with huge growth potential. This position will provide strategic tax and consulting services to high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and estates while also leading and growing the local private client services group.

Qualifications

CPA or EA certification required.

6+ years of technical tax experience in public accounting, with a focus on high-net-worth clients ($10M+).

1-2+ years managing direct reports (for senior role).

Strong expertise in individual, estate, gift, and fiduciary taxation.

Ability to manage multiple engagements and provide strategic tax insights.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex tax concepts.

Proven experience in team leadership and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and estates.

Act as a trusted advisor for clients while mentoring and developing a high-performing tax team.

Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns, including estate (Form 706), gift (Form 709), and fiduciary (Form 1041) tax returns.

Respond to federal and state tax notices and represent clients in audits.

Oversee multiple tax engagements simultaneously, ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Build strong, long-term client relationships by understanding their unique needs and providing tailored tax strategies.

Communicate complex tax matters in a clear and accessible manner to clients and internal stakeholders.

Work Location BOSTON, MA – Hybrid schedule: 2-3 days onsite required.
