As a Key Account Director, you will play a critical role in managing strategic customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring customer success within Hexagon's advanced manufacturing, precision measurement, and smart factory solutions.

About The Role The Key Account Director is responsible for managing and expanding Hexagon’s most strategic customer relationships, ensuring revenue growth, retention, and long‑term partnership development. This role requires a strong understanding of Hexagon’s digital reality solutions, manufacturing intelligence products, and enterprise sales strategies to help customers maximize value from Hexagon’s offerings.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic account plan to drive revenue growth, account penetration, and long‑term customer success.

Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, fostering strong executive‑level relationships.

Identify new business opportunities, cross‑sell and upsell within existing accounts to expand Hexagon’s footprint.

Collaborate with internal teams (sales, engineering, marketing, and customer success) to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction.

Drive customer engagement through business reviews, technical discussions, and executive briefings to align Hexagon solutions with customer goals.

Negotiate complex sales agreements and contracts, ensuring alignment with Hexagon’s business objectives.

Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to inform strategic decision‑making.

Ensure accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and account reporting using CRM tools (Salesforce, etc.).

Advocate for customer needs within Hexagon to drive continuous improvement and innovation in solutions.

Qualifications Must‑Have Skills

7+ years of experience in enterprise sales, key account management, or strategic business development.

Significant experience working with large key accounts like Boeing, Lockheed or Textron.

Proven track record of managing multimillion‑dollar accounts and exceeding sales targets.

Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with experience in complex solution selling.

Deep understanding of manufacturing, industrial technology, or digital transformation solutions.

Excellent relationship‑building skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior executives.

Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with experience in market and competitive analysis.

Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, etc.) and sales reporting.

Ability to travel up to 25% for customer meetings, industry events, and Hexagon internal meetings.

Nice‑to‑Have Skills

Familiarity with Hexagon’s product portfolio, including metrology, simulation, and manufacturing intelligence tools.

Previous experience in consultative or value‑based selling methodologies (e.g., Meddic, Challenger, SPIN Selling).

Strong technical acumen and ability to translate complex solutions into customer value propositions.
