Global Event Manager, Supervising Associate
If you want to join an award-winning Travel, Meetings and Events Services team recognized widely as best in class, this role is for you. You will take ownership of the successful delivery of large regional events for EY.
Your Key Responsibilities
Consult with meeting sponsor to understand logistical requirements.
Conduct venue research and recommend locations based on a detailed brief.
Promote the firm Supply Chain Services policy and overall M&E strategy.
Manage delegate data using Cvent.
Ensure EY brand compliance with event program manager.
Negotiate cost efficiencies with venues and suppliers.
Prepare and manage event logistics budget throughout the lifecycle.
Create on‑site schedules and run sheets for venues and suppliers.
Coordinate with Technology Support for special production and on‑site tech.
Audit, approve and reconcile program invoices.
Act as on‑site point of contact for suppliers and resolve issues proactively.
Lead the on‑site support team and adjust plans as needed.
Assist in other M&E areas when required.
Contribute ideas to improve processes and provide creative input on special projects.
Recommend solutions and guidance to other event managers and requestors.
Anticipate client questions and be prepared to respond.
Skills and Attributes for Success To qualify for the role, you must have
5–7 years of event management experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Cvent experience desired.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to address senior leadership and stakeholders.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills with effective prioritisation.
Ideally, you’ll also have
In-depth experience running large, complex global events.
Knowledge of venues across the US.
Experience with meeting industry software, including web registration applications such as Cvent.
