General Purpose The Retail Associate ensures customers have a positive shopping experience, greets them warmly, follows best‑practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and presents merchandise properly. The Associate may perform additional tasks as requested to achieve customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

Practice safe behaviors and maintain awareness on the sales floor.

Keep the sales floor clear and safe, reporting unsafe conditions.

Treat all customers and associates with respect and courtesy.

Assist customers (register‑trained), answer questions, and greet them throughout the store.

Respond promptly to customer service calls and handle issues courteously.

Represent the Company brand at all times.

Perform cleaning tasks to maintain merchandise and store areas.

Maintain a professional appearance and dress code.

Perform daily sizing and recovery to keep the store organized.

Expedite merchandise receipts and merchandise per company best practice.

Understand loss‑prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.

Demonstrate integrity, safeguard confidential information, and protect cash.

Follow MOS policies for merchandise disposal.

Handle cash, checks, charge cards, refunds, voids, and offline procedures accurately.

Execute best practices efficiently to maximize productivity.

Effective communication with customers, associates, and leadership.

Basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail.

Physical Requirements / ADA

Use all store equipment including PDTs, registers and PC.

Spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.

Regularly bend at waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, stoop.

Occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.

Use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, other assigned supplies.

Other assignments may require additional qualifications and skills.

Stockroom shifts: push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds.

Supervisory Responsibilities None

Compensation Base pay range: $17.95 – $18.45 per hour. Pay depends on experience, skills, qualifications, education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range is one component of the total compensation package.
